As reports of acts of lawlessness and politically retributive violence continue to rock Zimbabwe war veterans have reportedly ordered villagers in Matabeleland South to remove satellite television receivers from their homes.

Zimbabwe: Sky News personnel appear in court

Three people reportedly employed by Sky News were arrested on 23 May 2008 by police in Esigodini in Matabeleland South after being found in possession of broadcasting equipment that allegedly belongs to television network, Sky News. Read more

We report in this issue about the firing of the chief executive of the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation and the Namibian Information minister’s instruction to the board of the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation to investigate the director general.
