Four broadcasting frequencies up for grabs

Swazi Prime Minister Absalom Themba Dlamini  has announced that the Swaziland Post and Telecommunication Corporation has availed four frequency spectrums for radio broadcasting. He further said  two broadcasting draft bills that would allow more broadcasting players are being finalised and will be tabled to Parliament this year.

The prime minister said this in response to a question after  officially opening the 43rd Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and People's Rights which was held in Swaziland.

MISA-Zimbabwe's Legal Officer Wilbert Mandinde had asked why there are no other broadcasting players in the country which is dominated by state media.
