radio goes live at Keetmans
The community in and around Keetmanshoop are
tuning into the latest news and views from Karas Community Radio
which went on
air end of May.The radio station, located in the heart
of Keetmanshoop's Tseiblaagte residential area broadcasts in
Afrikaans, English, Nama and Oshiwambo on 102.3 FM

to the head of the station, Anwar Thomas programmes include
live discussions, sports coverage and local news bulletins.
"
We commit to provide well-researched programming and news content
that meets both professional journalism standards and ethics of broadcasting,
abiding and actively promoting broadcasting laws and Namibian Constitutional
values," Thomas said.
Thomas admitted that there were challenges facing the station, principally
funding and appealed to local businesses to advertise on the station
to make it financially sustainable.
